Bridgitte Causer has launched The Cat Butler South West Leeds after sixteen years working in education
From Education Career to Cat Sitting Business Owner
Before joining The Cat Butler, Bridgitte spent many years working in the private sector before moving into education when her second child was born. She then spent sixteen years working in a primary school as a School Business Manager and safeguarding lead, supporting both staff and pupils.
Although she loved working with children, Bridgitte began thinking about a new direction that would allow her to achieve a better work-life balance and do something for herself.
That opportunity appeared when she spotted an advert for The Cat Butler on social media.
After researching the brand and speaking with founder Sandra James and other franchisees, Bridgitte felt confident she had found the right opportunity. She was impressed by the professionalism of the brand and the focus on delivering a premium service dedicated entirely to caring for cats.

Turning a Lifelong Love of Cats into a Business
Cats have always been part of Bridgitte’s life.
“I have always had cats throughout my whole life. I love every cat I see wherever I am,” she explains.
At home, Bridgitte shares her life with her beloved tabby cat Roxy, who was rescued seven years ago from Huddersfield Ferals and Strays.
Roxy may be a little timid, but she is firmly the princess of the house and loves curling up on a blanket on Bridgitte’s bed each night.
The family also once welcomed a hungry stray who appeared on their doorstep just before lockdown. Named Oreo, the black and white cat stayed with them for two years and enjoyed a very happy life.
