From Creative Career to Cat Sitting Business Owner

Before joining The Cat Butler, Peter spent over three decades working as a freelance illustrator in the creative media industry.

His work involved managing multiple client projects at once, often working long hours, late nights and handling demanding deadlines.

While it was an exciting and varied career, changes within the industry, particularly the rise of AI, led Peter to start thinking about a new and more rewarding path.

“I wanted a direction that wouldn’t be AI-driven,” he explains.

A Lifelong Love of Cats

Cats have always been a big part of Peter’s life.

Growing up, his home was always shared with cats, many of whom simply chose to join the family rather than the other way around.

Over the years, he has cared for many cats, including several Bengal cats, a breed he particularly admires for their personality, affection and striking appearance.

“I love how independent cats are and how each one has its own personality. They always make me smile,” he says.

Bringing The Cat Butler to Northwich

Peter first considered cat sitting after helping friends by looking after their cat and home while they were away. Encouraged by their feedback, he began exploring the idea more seriously.

When he discovered The Cat Butler, the opportunity immediately stood out.
