If anyone is looking for an alternative to putting their beloved pet into a cattery when you are away, I can thoroughly recommend Helen, The Cat Butler based in Wirral Cheshire. I have just used Helen to look after my cat Henry for 5 days whilst I went away & gave her very short notice. She came to introduce herself and reassure me prior to me giving her the keys to my home and I am extremely happy with the service she offers.
I don't know whether Henry likes or dislikes catteries but cats are creatures of habit and like their routine. I therefore, was much happier leaving him in the care of a cat lover who does her job because of her passion for cats. Helen came once a day to feed Henry, change his litter and give him a good fuss. all visits last around half an hour and she provided me with an update every day for peace of mind. Helen also fed my fish and even put the bin out for me on the allotted day.
She can also administer medication if necessary and her prices are the same as putting your cat in a local cattery. Trusting someone with your house is strange at first, but I know my house was looked after when I was away and Henry was as chilled and happy when I returned as when I left him. So, I have no hesitation in recommending Helen to look after your pet cat and house for any duration whilst you are away. Thanks Helen - I think Henry has found a new friend :)

If I could use one word to describe the service that our cats received from Helen, it would be "impeccable." We couldn't fault it. From the initial meeting to the last day. Filling the cats' details was quick and easy and that enabled Helen to learn about our cats and their habits. The daily updates from Helen certainly put our minds at ease. Helen is a genuine cat lover. We came back to happy, calm cats and everything in its place. Our bins emptied and the post was brought in. That little extra, made it all feel like a luxurious treat for ourselves too. We will use Helen again, knowing that not only are cats well taken care of, but our home couldn't be safer. 10/10 and highly recommended. Thanks Helen.

Helen Cat Butler for Wirral was excellent. Great updates and vids that gave us confidence Paka was getting on well. Looked after the house and all in all really allowed us to relax on holiday knowing everything was ok and Paka was happy.
